0:04HostWelcome to Interceptor Beyond Podcast. My name is Arthur and this is the regular episode number 11. Today we have an Austrian band from Linz, Johnny and the Rotten. Recorded online, I know it's weird, but it works. Don't forget to subscribe, follow, hit that sucker, tell your friends, help out the podcast and subscribe to the Patreon. You'll get an early access to all the episodes, updates on the current episodes and shoutouts on the future episodes. Hell yeah! All right, then let's talk to Johnny and the Rotten.

0:37MarioOkay, hi, we're Johnny and the Rotten. I'm Johnny. I'm Mario.

0:43?My name is Tom.

0:50HostOr Theodor.

0:55HostSo, guys, you started a tour, right? Yesterday.

0:59TomKind of. It's, no, we didn't start the tour. It was the first concert of the upcoming tour, but that starts next Friday.

1:08HostYeah, that's what I mean. You already started, like, warming up for the tour, right?

1:14HostWhere was it and how was it?

1:16MarioIt was in Innsbruck. Innsbruck yesterday was in Innsbruck. And next week we are in Leipzig on Friday.

1:22HostWe're going to, like, because my audience is international, not from Austria, so we're going to be a lot of explaining about the local scene and local places, you know?

1:32?Yeah.

1:33HostSo, how was your gig yesterday? Is it, like, the first one in a while or how was it in general?

1:40MarioNo, the last gig was, like, two weeks ago, I think, in Germany, in Zwiesel.

1:49MarioThat's a pretty crazy place to play because the scene there is pretty big, but there are only 800 people in this town. And I think the scene is pretty big because on the last show there were, like, 200 visitors, but the city only had 800 people. So, almost the whole city was at the concert. Yeah.

2:20HostHow did you book that place? I mean, was it a specific reason to go there or it just happened?

2:25MarioWe know the guys there and the book. Ah, all right.

2:30?Yeah.

2:30HostThere's no connections as usual.

2:32TomYeah.

2:50HostAll right. You call it old band because it's not existent? Sorry? Or just previous band? The previous band? It doesn't exist anymore?

2:59HostAh, all right. Is it, like, the Bad Karma?

3:06HostAh, yes. The other one.

3:11HostYeah, I mean, you're all experienced musicians. All of you play in several bands and have a lot of experience. I know, I know, where's my notes? Fuck.

3:31HostYou know what's interesting? Usually, I transcribe these interviews with artificial intelligence. And it shows you how many times each word comes up. Really? And it's really cool to see if fuck is at the top.

3:48?Nice. And each time I tell myself when I edit it, it's like, I should swear less, you know, because

3:56HostBecause I'm like, okay, I need to warm up the people, the audience. I need to, like, to show this informal. So, yeah, yeah, yeah. And I get nervous. So, I swear, fuck a lot.

4:07HostNo, but I mean, like, so, you have a band Vampires. You have Bad Karma. Johnny is, like, playing and also, like, have connections to band, like, Riot. You know, like, all those bands I listen to. I know those bands, you know. I just didn't know that you are from those bands. I know those bands as bands. Okay, okay, okay.

4:28?That's nice.

4:28HostSo, the question is, actually, there's a question. You started before the corona, like, this band, right? Johnny and the Rotter. Yeah. Down in 2019.

4:38?Yeah.

4:38HostAnd it's pretty wild music, you know, like, let's say crazy. It's like a Beach Boys connected to a random chain of effects and pedals, kind of, but in a specific order, but a random. So, you don't have an excuse to tell that you went mental during the corona, right? So, why you chose this music, you know, like, coming from all different bands?

5:03TomThat's funny. That's a funny question. Why did we choose this music?

5:15?Johnny.

5:25TomWhen I moved to Linz six years ago, I started to work at the place called Posthof, did some stage hand jobs and stuff. And we met there. Actually, I think we all met there. Yeah. I met you. I worked there as well.

5:49Tomlike Ty Siegel or OCs and stuff.

6:10Tomstarting from that. It was, I don't know how long it took.

6:30MarioAnd I wrote some garage, um, garage in numbers and released it on bandcamp and it was a really cool response of everyone. And, uh, and then we decided, and it, it was actually like that, um, that the people

7:02Mariohaven't, um, I, I, so I canceled the show and it was like, so fuck man, I want to play life and, but I don't have people and now I had to cancel a show. And on that day I booked two shows. It was like in April and in August, there were, there were the shows.

7:27?Yeah.

7:27MarioAnd so I had to search people who were down for this music and I asked him like, Hey Tom, can you play the drums on that project? And Mario, would you play bass?

7:49HostSo, so super unplanned, chaotic kind of, and that's how you like it, I guess.

7:54MarioAnd we, we recorded the first LP.

8:16HostIt's only audio, you know, you need to always describe, like tell something.

8:47MarioAnd, and I like the energy, the energy on shows. So when people are kind of freak out in the crowd, fucking love that.

8:57?Yeah.

8:58HostYeah. I saw, I saw, I never seen your life, but I've seen recordings from your life, uh, gigs. Yeah. Yeah. It's really crazy. I mean, the atmosphere is awesome.

9:10HostI, you know, I checked, uh, you, uh, so in the previous tours, you played in different locations and you had also secret shows, like secret locations, secret gigs. Yeah. Are you planning to do something like this for this tour?

9:27MarioNo, no, I don't have a secret show this time.

9:38MarioNo, but sometimes when friends ask us, Hey, we have a party, like as we have a party, would you, are you down to play the show at the party? Yeah, man.

9:49HostAnd this is how it happened the last time. Was it planned or was it just happened like by accident?

9:54MarioYeah. No, it was planned. It was the birthday party. A friend of mine, a friend of mine, a good friend of mine. And he was like, Hey man, I want you to play at my birthday party. Yeah. In Vienna? Yeah.

10:04?Yeah.

10:04MarioWell, yeah, we had Chris on the drums. Yeah.

10:08HostAnd, uh, was it like in some small space? I don't know because like, uh, I know that there were secret, like secret locations, but I don't know how, what was the location?

10:18?Yeah.

10:32HostSo only, only people who know were invited. And people would know and know and know. How many people were there?

10:38?A hundred.

10:39HostThat's a lot for a secret show.

10:45HostYou just have a lot of fans.

10:51TomA lot of people couldn't, uh, couldn't take the secret.

10:59HostThe whole part of the secret show, you say, don't tell about this to anyone. And then you get the most people you can tell.

11:05MarioIt was kind of crazy thing because we played at Stone Smoker festival in August with that Karma Club and it was like the, the guys from the stage, um, remember, remembered us.

11:23MarioOh, you have a new name and play with Johnny here tonight. No, it's the other project we're in.

12:44?But there was another song that we only played at this show. Like the, Dan.

12:49TomWe did three or four songs, but one of these songs is on the, on the upcoming album.

12:58HostSo if it were worse, not for this gig, there will be no song on the new album, right?

13:03?Yeah.

13:05MarioThat's right. And the song is called worst artist in town.

13:08HostSo, because that's totally your thing.

13:12HostAnd that's a jazz song, but you know, like thinking about Johnny and the Rotten and the jazz, I don't know, but what was, where are the people confused when they like heard you play because like, Oh, this is some kind of free jazz or what is it? Yeah.

13:34?A friend of mine asked me if I want to play with a project because she's looking, she's always looking for opening acts.

13:42?Sarah asked me and she was searching for an opening act or like a band that's playing. And afterwards it's an open stage. It's always the same concept. And she was asking me if I want to play with a project or if I have anything. And then I was thinking, okay, I mean, it would be funny to play with like the guys from Johnny and the Rotten, but not as Johnny and the Rotten. And then it was like, okay, Hey, we can play the open stage. It's in, I don't know. It was like two or one week away or something.

14:17?Then I was like, Hey, let's do like a 30 minutes long jam and not really rehearse or anything. And I made up the name Johnny Chess and made like a band picture of us.

14:34HostOh yeah. I was about to ask, probably with some suits or something.

14:43?And I think people were really confused. I think like you, you are the kind of, you were in at Kapoor afterwards. Yeah.

14:51MarioLike talking to you. I'm now, I'm always going there or when I have the time. I try to go there and jam with the musicians there. And it was kind of funny because I talked to one guy there. Um, it was like one month ago. And he said, Oh, Johnny and the Rotten. Oh, you're the guys who fooled us the last time.

15:27?And, but in a, in a, in a, in a kind way. Yeah. Yeah. So no, but like, but a little bit like, yeah, we're doing some jazz.

15:38HostBut they took it fine. I mean, they understand that.

15:45MarioIt was something different. Um, yeah, they, they liked it.

15:56HostOh my God. You were really like messing up with them, you know?

16:03HostSo you mentioned the new album, right? Yes. So this tour, the upcoming tour is in support of the, uh, the new album. Right. So what can you tell us about the album? First of all, like the, when is it coming out?

16:16MarioUm, the album is coming out on the 30th, 13th. 13th of September.

16:23Host13th.

16:26HostYeah. Yeah. On Friday.

16:30HostLast day of September. Last day of September. Exactly.

16:32TomAnd what, what else?

16:39MarioIn the studio. It was the beginning, beginning of support nothing studios.

16:47?Here's Johnny two.

16:49HostKind of the name of the studio or the name of the album.

16:52?Yeah.

16:53MarioUm, the studio is called support nothing studios. All right. And the album is called here's Johnny two.

16:59HostAll right. Wait, here's Johnny one. There was no such thing.

17:03?No.

17:04HostI knew that. I know that you're messing with people.

17:09HostNo, it was like, because I, because I thought, okay, maybe I prepared wrong. You know, there's no huge.

17:14MarioKind of funny story. Cause I was watching TV with my girlfriends and the explained sessions. And we were looking like for a cover and a name for the second album.

17:46MarioAnd then I was watching TV with my girlfriend and the explain sessions and the explain session about dogs.

17:59MarioAnd it was, here is Johnny. And I was on the couch and it is, Oh, here is Johnny too. And let's, let's do the cover, the exact cover thing. And yeah, it's pretty awesome.

18:13HostI mean, this is like the same cover that you have on your Facebook for the promo.

18:18MarioThis is the, the whole LP, the whole vinyl is this cover.

18:22?Yeah.

18:23HostAll right. Cool. So there's, are you going to print vinyls or tapes like you did before?

18:30?Yeah. All right.

18:30MarioAnd we have them on tour via stone free records.

18:34?Uh huh.

18:36HostAnd what about tapes? I mean, you did tapes before with the Rotten Salami.

18:42MarioUm, they were like DIY.

18:45?Yeah. Yeah. Exactly.

18:54?Yeah.

18:57MarioUm, yeah, probably we will do that too.

19:00HostI mean, the previous, uh, your previous album, the, the freshest album is the EP rights or album Rotten Salami. Right.

19:08?Yeah.

19:09HostAnd you released 40 tapes, right?

19:12?Yeah.

19:13HostSigned. All sold out. Of course, limited edition and stuff. No, I'm a fan. I'm in each, I mean, almost in each episode, I'm asking about the tapes because I'm a fan of tapes, even though I don't have many, but I have a tape recorder. Uh, tape recorder. You made the tapes yourself or you did with help of somebody?

19:32MarioUh, no, I did it myself, but a girlfriend of us helped us with the, the prints.

19:38HostHow do you do tapes by yourself? Just with a normal record?

19:44MarioNo, I have like, um, uh, task computer studio. Uh, from the computer, I go into the task computer studio and check the levels and then

19:56HostOne cassette at a time, right?

20:03HostYeah. Yeah. I was about to ask. Yeah. On eBay, you can find the recorders that you can put four, no, three tape, no, four tapes. One is a master and three, you can record at the same time, but they're super expensive. Yeah.

20:23MarioSo yeah.

20:24HostMaybe for the future, you will buy one because you're going to be.

20:27?Yeah.

20:28HostPrinting tapes all the time. But actually like what I want to ask is like, that's what I felt, you know, everything like the music sounds like a little bit chaotic, let's say like this, but I was thinking that everything is planned, you know, and with this name, you know, you're thinking about the name for the album, you know, because everything feels like spontaneous, but in reality, everything is like super detailed. Am I wrong or right?

21:01?Yeah.

21:03TomSome kind because it's spontaneous.

21:04MarioSome, some, some things are planned. Some things are not planned. Like on stage we are trying, okay, let's do this.

21:24HostWell, I guess that's your magic.

21:26?Yeah.

21:27HostYou need to have some, some kinds of this magic to work out. Otherwise it's like, it feels like too, too, too, too, too sterile.

21:37HostHow did you get on Stone Free Records?

21:40TomWell, we, uh, first, when we started the band with the first album, um, we somehow, um,

21:49Mariowe wrote some emails and then we were on Sony records.

21:53TomWe were on the Sony records first and on Berger records from USA. And then there was a big story about Berger records, uh, just maybe one month after we signed with them and they had to close the whole labor. I don't know if you know the story.

22:10HostI know, but, uh, but probably people don't know. So could you please like quickly like tell the story?

22:14MarioWell, they messed up things pretty much. Yeah.

22:20MarioAnd so we decided we split with them and then Thomas was like, Hey, you guys are free. And so now we are on Stone Free.

23:11TomAnd that was the beginning for us with Stone Free.

23:19HostHow did you get on Berger records before they went out? Um, we had a concert in Graz and we need to sell Berger records is the record label in United States, right?

23:32HostAnd then they had some troubles and then they stopped. It's a big company.

23:43MarioBecause all the, all the bands we are listening to were on the like, um, TOCs and such bands. It's like, wow.

24:14Mariowhich we released via Berger. It was like, um, King Basso from the Melvins was like commenting on our music, our music.

24:32HostI didn't know that, you know, you know, you should like, like, like, uh, print it out and put it on the wall in a, in a frame.

24:43Mariothe first thing it was Mojo No, and it was like, okay, Johnny and the Rotten and Spotify thought that we are Johnny Rotten. So the first single, um, was released, was released via, um, John Lydon.

24:59MarioJohn Lydon on Spotify.

25:01?Wow.

25:09MarioSo it was a pretty funny promo gag.

25:15HostI see you, you have a style, you know, how to promote yourself. You changed the name, you know, you changed the name many times. You played the same gig, but different names.

25:34HostAnd it was, as I say, it's the magic of your band.

25:45HostAnd what happened? They just realized that it's not. And then somebody changed it.

25:50HostAfter a week. Well, the whole week of a good promotion, you know, it would be cool if Loudwire already posted something, you know, like, just let it go. Let, let it burn.

26:01?Yeah.

26:27TomUm, it was pretty random because he just went there as a visitor. And then he started to mix our concert. Yeah. Because there was no sound guy. Yeah. And he liked it. He liked it pretty much. And so he, he said, Hey, that's, that's, that's music that would fit to burger records. And he just got the connection to that.

26:53?Yeah.

26:54HostSo again, like, uh, accident plus connections. Yes. Yeah. So that's what I tell, uh, the guys, uh, like the new bands is that like, don't be an asshole. Hang out. You never know. Maybe one day assistant of a label is a major in another label, you know, always don't, just don't be an asshole. It's a big thing.

27:14?Yeah. That's right.

27:15HostYou know, like, uh, you mentioned Spotify, uh, you have a lot of, uh, followers on Spotify. Uh, and especially if you compare it to Austria in Vienna.

27:27?Yeah.

27:28HostUm, and you, your, uh, your most popular song is, um, King of Waves. King of Waves.

27:35?King of Waves.

27:36HostKing of Waves. And it was featured in the playlist, right?

27:40?Yes.

27:40HostIn the, in the playlist of, uh, Hot Rod and horror show.

27:47TomThat's so funny. That's so funny because, uh, when you, when you look up a playlist, there's a lot of bands like Misfits, right? Misfits and stuff. And what, what else? Like famous, the Kramps, Misfits, all the famous punk, horror punk garage sounds. Yes. But old school stuff mostly. And then you, then you see Johnny and the Rotten in between. Okay.

28:26MarioSo you can ask Spotify, Hey, check out my song.

28:30?Maybe it fits in one official, um, playlist.

28:34MarioAnd the King of the Waves song got pitched.

28:47HostInfluence them. You can't make them like, just put that in that playlist. Yeah. You can pitch it on Spotify, but you don't know how, how and where it's going to end up.

28:58?So.

28:59HostSo again, accident. Yeah.

29:03HostAccident. And that song has 150,000, uh, like listen streams on Spotify. Yeah.

29:18HostAh, Jesus. Oh, with, with all those streams, it's, it's all messed up. Spotify is basically like, unless you're having like 1 billion streams. So you get nothing.

29:28HostYeah. No, no, no. The gig. Finally, we have, finally we have the gig. So you can like sell merge. You have cool merge.

29:41HostWhat's, what's, what's the plant merge, what you're going to have for the new album. Um, you have vinyl. What else?

29:56HostUm, is it going to be all themed, uh, like like the shining movie?

30:04HostYou like to mess with people.

30:06?Yeah.

30:37MarioAnd every time we get the design from him, it's like, dude, that's so awesome.

30:55Mariobecause he nails it. Yeah. Also check out his tattoos on his Instagram site. The tattoos are sometimes so funny too.

31:04HostYeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. If you want to plug people on my podcast, you can plug whatever people you want. It's not a problem. So what's his Instagram? Binda? What's?

31:44HostYeah.

31:48HostYeah.

31:52HostYeah. Yeah. Yeah.

31:57HostYeah.

32:00?No.

32:01HostWhat about animated one?

32:02MarioOh, no, no. Sorry. Sorry. Jennifer either made one. Yeah. Sorry.

32:11HostAll right. I found the new weak point. Another band is destroyed. Awesome.

32:21HostBecause I like to ask weird questions and then make people think about the band and then they go really silent and they're like, oh, we're going to break this again.

32:40HostI did this with Mommy is Mental. You know that band?

32:43?Yeah.

32:44HostYeah. Yeah. Yeah. When I was interviewing them, I was like, so you play in different other bands. So this band is maybe not so serious or what? You know, like that kind of crap. Not being an asshole. I know. I know. I know. But that's how I get the cool stuff. The conflict.

33:05MarioBut shout out to Ida. Thank you for the music video. Yeah.

33:09?Yeah.

33:10HostAnd also we need to like, give a shout out to Mando of Lessig Bookings.

33:15?Oh yeah.

33:18HostHe made this interview happen.

33:20MarioI'm pretty, pretty thankful for that. Or because we were kind of late with everything on this release and we had a lot of off days on the tour and I was writing Diggy.

33:36MarioDiggy was like, okay, I'm going to do that. Hey, would you like some interviews too? Yeah. I'm going to do that. It was like, so within a month was like, oh dude, there's so many things to do now. But yeah, big shout out to him.

33:57HostWhen did you start working with him?

34:00HostAll right. So he organized all your tours.

34:06?Was it a year ago?

34:31MarioBut we know Diggy a long time ago before we worked with him with other bands. So the connection was there. Yeah.

34:40HostI only know him online. I've never talked to him personally, but we talked on Instagram a lot. And that's how we got here. How was your tour? Like, how was your, like, you know, like when I talk to the bands, to local bands, not so many people tour because I tend to, I talked to different, to bands of different level, you know, experience level.

35:05?Yeah.

35:05HostAnd not many people toured, turns out. So how was your tour experience?

35:14?Yeah.

35:16TomI think actually with Johnny and the Rotten, we had plenty of nice concerts and tours. And it was always a good time and lovely people and pretty nice. As I said, concerts, wild concerts, people going crazy, people jumping around, like yesterday.

35:39HostDo you usually drive yourself around? Do you drive yourself?

35:44?Yeah. Yeah.

35:46HostA lot of stuff that you do is do it yourself stuff. Yeah. Except booking.

35:58TomActually, I know a lot of people from mostly in Germany because I'm from Germany and I toured

36:11TomBut we also get like from money, we get some help for that with booking.

36:23?Yeah.

36:24HostIf you could talk to your younger self, you're not that old, but you know, just before they started the tour, you know, to the, to the people who didn't start, who never toured, you know, what musicians should expect from a tour or like what, what, what, what, uh, shouldn't do.

37:45HostDo you plan a day off also on a tour?

37:49?On this tour? Not really.

37:50HostOr on this tour or previous tours?

38:06TomI mean, sometimes, sometimes actually it's nice to have a day off because you need it from time to time, especially when it's getting a longer tour. And because at some point you're just like tired and you really need some space and time out.

38:35MarioIt is like, yeah, we want to play. So let's do this 10 days. Let's do this.

38:40HostOkay. 10 days. You can do it. But if it's a, if it's like longer than two weeks, you need a day off.

38:57TomUm, sometimes day offs are more travel days. So it's not really a day off.

39:12TomFor example, if, if we should play like, I don't know, in Helsinki and we should drive from here to Helsinki, we need a day off just for traveling.

39:22?Yeah.

39:22HostAnd for this tour, you have how many days? 10, right? For this.

39:27HostNine days. Right. And where? Uh, Austria definitely. Where else?

39:37?Yeah.

39:37HostYeah. Lots of moderate level of driving.

41:06HostThat's why, that's why that's one of the reasons that I'm not a musician. I was like, I don't want to do all the driving. I don't want to, I don't want to be in the tour. I'm not, I'm not a musician.

41:40HostI wanted to ask about the new album. Like, um, how is it different from the previous stuff that you made?

42:01MarioUm, but there are also different styles. Yeah. So we have like a jazz song, uh, garish, um, number. Then it's almost a pop song. Pop song. Yeah. Beatles kind of song.

42:17MarioAnd yeah. So it's more mixture of different genres.

42:21HostDid, did the process of how you record change? Why, why so different songs?

42:27MarioUh, I wanted to try things out.

42:29HostSo, uh, all right. So, okay. Usually the bands, they start together. Like you have already experienced with the previous bands, but you know what I'm talking about. Usually, uh, people start the band, they experiment and they find their sound. But because you started so chaotic, you didn't have this, uh, teenager phase of trying everything out. You need to try it now.

42:53?Yeah.

42:59Hostyou're playing right now is your sound, you know, like, Oh, maybe we've never tried it, but you know, maybe, maybe I'm wrong. Hey, I'm, I'm just guessing, you know, at some point it's true.

43:13?Yeah.

43:14MarioI think just try some things out. I think that's a pretty cool idea.

43:19?Stay free. Yeah.

43:20MarioLet your mind go the way it wants to go.

43:27HostWith the new songs. Have you considered like, is the process in a way the same, how you write? Um, or do you also take an account, for example, Spotify, right? Because on Spotify, if you have like a hook really fast, you know, like early in, in, in the song, then it becomes more popular. Uh, maybe, you know, are you playing with the idea of making the song more acceptable to the mainstream?

43:59MarioWe have like, um, for a minute noise jam on the new album.

44:04HostAh, you see, we're back to Johnny, Johnny music.

44:11HostBecause you're scaring me, you know, like because people are actually, are you afraid that maybe it's so different that people will say, what the hell is this? We want the old Johnny and Rotten music.

44:33?Yeah. All right.

44:37?Totally. Yeah.

44:44?It's crazy.

45:37HostSo when, when, what is the period? When did you, uh, record it and written the songs this year, last year?

45:48?Two years ago. Two years ago. Yeah.

45:56?Ah, 21.

46:00?Really? Yeah. Not two years ago.

46:02MarioOh yeah. Yeah.

46:12?Yeah.

46:14MarioAnd, and then it was like, okay, what should we do? Should we go on tour? Oh, we want to promote our new LP. So like with the tour and play some shows.

46:26TomBut the issues with lockdowns and stuff kept us from releasing it.

46:30HostThat's, that's, that's usually a problem. Everybody with whom I talked recently, it's same story.

46:37?Yes.

46:38TomI mean, I, because I also, I know a lot of bands who released, um, new albums last year, for example, in the middle of the lockdown and, and all the albums, which are great.

47:27?So.

47:28HostMost probably. Yes. Unless you have, unless you were preparing for it for a long time. Yes. I mean, if you're like really hard on social media, that'll be fine. Maybe, but nobody knows and nobody knew back then. So I guess you made a wise choice of not releasing the music. Yeah.

48:10HostSo what were the main influences during the writing of this album? You said like, uh, stuff that is around you influences the music. So how would you, or how would you describe the upcoming album from the point of view of influences?

48:39Marioa pink Floyd song in like Johnny style. And this is the mixture of everything. And yeah, let's try something crazy.

48:49?I think that's, yeah.

48:51HostAre we going to hear some, some, some, uh, money cash machines in there?

48:57?Casinos.

49:00?Yeah.

49:02HostBut you still like, you know, you recorded, uh, and recorded this music a long time ago, right? And you're like still okay with it because you know, like, for example, I made the music video like two years ago and only now just like a couple of weeks ago, it came out. I was like, Oh no, I'm still cool with it. But you know, like it could have, I would have done better considering the two years has passed.

49:30MarioThere was a point I couldn't hear the new album anymore. It was like, I hear so many mistakes everywhere. And I tried to try to, um, fix it, fix it. And yeah, there was the point. So man, I have to leave it. Uh, I have to, to finish the thing because I changed so many details sometimes, which no one was hearing. And it's like, okay, you have to finish the things you started, especially when you work

50:10?Yeah. Yeah.

50:24MarioYeah. And always the big question. Is it good?

50:27?Is it good? Is it good enough?

50:31HostBut you never know. I mean, you create it, you just make it and then you see how the response. Did you already have some feedback from the people, probably your friends? Yeah.

50:40?Who listened to it?

50:41HostI mean, did you give it to somebody just to check it out?

50:56MarioUh, I was sitting with him in his control room and we were listening to the, to the new album. And he was like, yeah, man, that's your style. Dude, the mix is cool. Yeah. And I was kind of relieved, but yeah, it's always, is it cool?

51:11?Is it not cool?

51:55?Yes.

51:56MarioUm, Henry the Opossum.

51:57HostOh yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I listened to it. I liked it. I'm so confused with your music because I take it all together. You know, I listened to all the music, read all the information of the everything, everything, you know? So I, I forget, uh, when was it released, you know, any plans for a music video for the next ones for next music videos?

52:20MarioYeah. We have some plans.

52:22HostYeah. Yeah. Also with the, uh, Linz area people.

52:35HostSo it's, yeah, you have a cool community there.

52:38HostIt's, it's, it's, it's a, it's a bit different from the Vienna community. It's, it's, it's a really specific. I know many musicians from that area.

52:47?Oh, cool. Yeah.

52:49HostAre you planning to, to move to Vienna? No, not really.

52:53?Fuck it.

53:01HostAnd it's actually easier for you to tour in that way. Germany and like the location, geography is better in this case. Less driving.

53:11HostAll right, guys. I don't want to bother you too much. So, uh, the new album is coming out on Friday, 30th of September, which will be two days after the release of this episode, because I will release it in two weeks on Wednesday. Okay.

53:28?Cool. Cool.

53:29HostAnd you'll be playing at, where the fuck are my notes?

53:35?Fuck.

53:36HostYou're going to be playing at Kapu, at Linz, with Szpek and who else? Kabu? Kabudai?

53:46?Kabudai.

53:50?Yeah.

53:51HostSay hello to the Szpek people. I interviewed them a couple of weeks. I mean, a month ago. Oh, cool.

53:55MarioYeah. We're going to do that.

53:57?Yeah.

53:58HostAll right, guys. Thank you very much. Which Johnny and Rotten song are we going to hear at the end of this interview?
